Gregg Lauder of Cochrane, AB, Canada has been training and showing
reining horses out of his family run facility, Lauder Ranch, near Calgary for
the past seven years. Lauder grew up riding and showing horses in several events
but settled into reining exclusively at a young age. He rode his first reining
horse at Wayne Latimer's in Fort McLeod and never looked back. Prior to starting
his business in Alberta Gregg spent four years training in Germany and two years
down in California as an assistant trainer. "We showed reining horses all over
Europe and the Western United States," says Lauder, " it was a great
experience." Happy to be back home, Gregg has been consistently one of Canada's
top reining money earners and also has been proven as a successful Non Pro
Coach. Gregg's recent achievements include several wins at major Canadian
reining events as well as a trip South of the Border to capture the NRHA
Intermediate Open Championship at the Manntana Futurity and Derby Classic in
Kalispell MT. Qualifying for the World Reining Masters was the big goal for
Lauder and he is very proud to represent Canada at this coveted international
event.
