Dear Canadian Reiner;

The latest issue of Slidin should be hitting your mailboxes this week. Chalked full of great information of Reining Canada's programs from 2007 and benefits of membership be sure to obtain a copy. Please note that the next issue will only be distributed to current Reining Canada members.

Reining Canada Affiliate Circuits

Reining Canada is pleased to announce that their will be 9 Affiliate Circuits in Canada in 2008. Please check http://www.reiningcanada.com/affiliates/affiliates.htm for more information and remember to participate in the Affiliate Circuit Program you must be a current Reining Canada Member.

Don't forget that the Reining Canada Annual General Meeting will be held February 9th, 2008 at the Westin Hotel, downtown Calgary. The official meeting will start at 1:30pm and will be followed with an informal presentation and Q&A session.

The 2008 Equine Canada Annual Convention is set for February 3-11, 2008, at The Westin Calgary in Alberta.

This convention is the result of a collaborative effort between Equine Canada and our host provincial association, the Alberta Equestrian Federation, and guarantees to be an event to remember courtesy of Calgary's western hospitality and fun-loving atmosphere.

This year's convention is packed full of clinics and educational sessions which are an asset to every horse lover. Special guest lecturers from Olds College will discuss ways to keep your healthy and happy. Education sessions range from how to create your own equine first aid, vaccination scheduling, equine nutritional requirements and maintaining a healthy hoof.

For those planning on attending the 2008 Convention, a special guest room rate of $129 have been secured for all attendees until 7:00 p.m. EST January 11, 2008. To reserve rooms, simply call 1-800-937-8461 and refer to Equine Canada. For your convenience a customized online reservation system has also been created, please visit THIS SITE.

The NRHA will not sending out rule books with the membership cards this year. The NRHA will send out a postcard that members can mark and return to the NRHA if they would like to receive the rulebook. Members can also call in and request a rule book be mailed to them. Please note that for 2008 NRHA rule books can only be requested from the NRHA and the NRHA will send them to members.

Slide N Spin would like to also acknowledge an omission in their report coverage and Congratulate Margret Fraser and Cody Jac Pine for capturing the Rookie Champion title.

Reining Canada Requests Photos

Reining Canada would like to request photos of Canadian Bred horses with Canadian Riders for its photo of the month on the website and for use in Reining Canada promotional material. Please ensure that full copyright is owned before sending the photo in. Photos can be emailed to lazyj@shaw.ca
