Reining Canada is excited to Announce the following Affiliate Programs for 2009!As the National Association Affiliate (NAA) for Reining in Canada, Reining Canada has a mandate to further the development of the sport of reining in Canada. Therefore Reining Canada has Developed the 'Reining Canada Affiliate Programs'.

En tant que 'National Association Affiliate' (NAA) for Reining au Canada, Reining Canada a le mandate de travailler au développement du reining au Canada. Pour ce faire, Reining Canada a développé les «programmes pour affiliés Reining Canada».


 


Reining Canada Affiliate SPIN Program/ Le programme «Reining Canada Affiliate SPIN»

The purpose of the Reining Canada Affiliate Sport Program Incentive or the RC Affiliate "Spin" is to assist and promote reining at the grass root level across Canada. As the National Association Affiliate for Reining in Canada, RC has a mandate to further the development of the sport of reining in Canada. RC recognizes the tremendous amount of work that has occurred with the Regional Affiliates and would like to assist the Regional Affiliates with continuation of these already developed programs. The RC Affiliate Spin Program was started in 2007 and will be offered again in 2009.

The RC Affiliate SPIN Program rebates money directly to the Reining Canada Affiliates following the show season. Cheques for the 2008 RC Affiliate Spin Program will be arriving in Affiliates mailboxes shortly.

Rebates will be offered to each Affiliate based on the following criteria:

  • $50.00 Rebate on each Reining Canada Approved Show
  • $500.00 Rebate on each Reining Canada Affiliate Circuit
  • $5.00 award for each new Reining Canada member that joins through the Affiliate

 

  Le but de ce «RC Affiliate "Spin» est de contribuer à la promotion du reining de la base à travers tout le Canada. En tant que «National Association Affiliate» du reining au Canada, le mandat de RC inclut le développement du sport à tous les niveaux. RC reconnaît la somme colossale de travail qui incombe aux associations affiliées; conséquemment RC veut aider les associations affiliées en poursuivant des programmes instaurés au cours des dernières années. Le programme «RC Affiliate Spin » fut lancé en 2007 et est à nouveau offert en 2009.

Le programme «SPIN» offre des ristournes aux associations affiliées à la suite d'une saison de concours. Les chèques pour le programme 2008 du «SPIN» seront postés sous peu aux associations affiliées.

Les ristournes seront offertes à chaque association affiliée sur la base des critères suivants :

  • Ristourne de 50 $ pour chaque concours approuvé RC.
  • Ristourne de 500 $ pour chaque circuit affilié Reining Canada.
  • Ristourne de 5 $ pour tout nouveau membre Reining Canada dont l'adhésion est prise par une association affiliée.


 


Reining Canada Education Program/ Le programme éducatif Reining Canada

RC recognizes the tremendous amount of work that is required to host the Judges Seminars and would like to assist the Regional Affiliates by offering $500.00 towards the first 3 judges seminars scheduled in Canada.* dependant on regional applications. The RC Education Program was undertaken in 2007 and will be offered again for 2009.

 

RC reconnaît le travail immense requis afin de présenter un séminaire de juges et veut aider les associations affiliées en contribuant 500$ pour chacun des trois premiers séminaires à être présentés au Canada. Ce programme fut instauré en 2007 et est offert à nouveau 2n 2009.


NEW for 2009! Reining Canada Affiliate Circuit Award Program/ NOUVEAU POUR 2009!
Un programme de récompenses pour les qualifications aux finales régionales

 

The purpose of the Reining Canada Affiliate Circuit Awards Program is to assist and promote Affiliates to host NHRA/Reining Canada Affiliate Circuit classes. The Circuit classes provide opportunity for Reiners in Canada to participate and qualify for Regional Finals and onto to the North American Affiliate Finals. Reining Canada is thrilled to announce for 2009 it will provide each Affiliate that hosts a NRHA/RC Affiliate Circuit, 6 beautiful spurs to award to selected NRHA Affiliate Circuit Champions.

Reining Canada would like to thank its sponsor, FG Reining Collection, for assisting Reining Canada in securing these fabulous awards for Canadian Reiners.

Stay tuned to see which six NRHA Classes will qualify for the for this beautiful prize.

  Le but de ce programme est de contribuer au succès des associations offrent des épreuves de qualification à une finale régionale du «NHRA/Reining Canada Affiliate Circuit». Ces épreuves de qualification offrent la chance aux reiners canadiens de se qualifier et de participer aux finales régionales ainsi qu'au «North American Affiliate Finals» d'Oklahoma City. C'est avec fierté que Reining Canada annonce que, en 2009, elle offrira à chaque association affiliée six (6) paires d'éperons qui seront remises à des champions d'épreuves pré sélectionnées de qualification.

RC annoncera sous peu le nom des six épreuves qui se qualifient pour ces prix.


 


Reining Canada and Reining Alberta Update

Reining Canada and Reining Alberta had a productive and informative meeting this past Sunday in Calgary, Alberta. Significant headway was achieved and it was agreed to move forward together to assist in the development and support of reining in Canada. Reining Canada is grateful and would like to thank the Reining Alberta Directors who gave their Sunday up to attend. Reining Canada looks forward to a positive working relationship in the future.

Young Rider Update!


The qualifying is underway in Canada... what an exciting time for Canada's Young Riders. Stay tuned for more information as the shows progress. Below is an updated list of Qualification Classes:

  • Alberta - Quarter Horse Association of Alberta will be hosting two qualification classes. May 7-10, 2009 at the Claresholm Range Round Up and May 21-24, 2009 at the Alberta Chinook Quarter Horse Circuit in Red Deer. *NEW* Reining Alberta will be hosting a qualification class May 17th, Okotoks, AB.

  • Manitoba - Central Canada Reining Horse Association will host a qualifying class at the Miracle Ranch Show in Winnipeg, MB May 23-24, 2009.

  • Ontario - Ontario Reining Horse Association will host a qualifying class at Reining at the Royal in Newmarket, ON May 31, 2009.

  • Quebec - TBA


 


2009 Kentucky Cup Canadian Reining Qualification Criteria has been Announced

2009 Kentucky Cup Canadian Reining Qualification Criteria has been AnnouncedA series of competitions will be held at the Kentucky Horse Park in 2009 and 2010 to test the new arena, stadium and other facilities before the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games are held in 2010. The competitions will be named The Kentucky Cup. The first competition will be a reining competition July 15- 20, 2009, followed by vaulting July 28-Aug. 2, endurance Sept. 28-30, driving Oct. 1-4 and eventing, jumping and dressage April 20-25, 2010, during the 2010 Rolex Three-Day Event.

The selection criteria for the 2009 Reining Kentucky Cup CRI 4* event has now been posted on the Equine Canada website. Riders who are interested in representing Canada at the 2009 Kentucky Cup must achieve a score of 68 or greater at two different CRI competitions during the qualifying period of May 31, 2008 through June 29, 2009. Riders will be ranked based on their top two results achieved during the qualification period, and a team of four riders will be selected in order of ranking by July 6, 2009.

Riders who would like to be considered for selection must declare their interest to Equine Canada by May 18, 2009, in accordance with the selection criteria.
