Reiner of the Year Guidelines

  • The Reining Canada Reiner of the Year award will recognize a Canadian individual(s) demonstrating outstanding achievement or contribution to the sport of Reining in the current year.

  • Candidates may be riders, horses, owners, breeders, trainers, coaches, or volunteers involved at any level. They should demonstrate excellent sportsmanship and act as ambassadors for the sport and be dedicated to showing, breeding, and promotion of Reining horses.

  • Annually (late in the year) we welcome nominations for the Canadian Reiner of the Year to be submitted in brief essay form (300-500 words), explaining the candidate’s involvement. Please outline their years involved with Reining Canada, any show records, special interests and their influence in the Reining Community.

  • The Reining Canada Board of Directors will choose recipient of this award.
